The K Pop Demon Hunter craze is ongoing and everyone is amazed at the story, the songs and also the behind the scene story of the singers who sang the songs. For me, K Pop Demon Hunter touched me differently.

If you look at Zoe, she has a very chic almost like an accessory thing on her arm. Most viewers may not really know what it is but now I know that it is most likely an insulin pump that Zoe has installed on her arm. I don’t know if she has Type 1 Diabetes or Type 2 Diabetes but it is true that this pump is a game change for many people because it allows you to go on with your life without having to carry and inject insulin every couple of hours or before eating while people try hard not to look at you.
There’s a lot of insulin pump pouch designs but they are usually designed to hide the pump. But what struck me with Zoe is that she had it proudly on her arm and made it a part of her outfit. It wasn’t something that was strange or different, it was actually something very cool and chic!
I also liked that this was never mentioned in the movie. Sometimes I feel awkward when people feel like they need to talk about my diabetes whenever they meet me and see me inject my insulin. I liked the fact that the insulin pump was there but it was just a part of Zoe, nothing special, nothing to make a big deal about. Nothing to feel sorry about or be cautious about. Just part of Zoe’s everyday life.
My HCP had suggested using an insulin pump and had shown me hers and how it is on her waist, hidden under her clothes. I was not sure if I was up for it. But seeing how I could make it cool, I am now more open to the idea of an insulin pump. And I think for my next merch, I might start designing some cool insulin pump covers!
